Requirements for articles

Welcome, future authors of the journal “Podology of Ukraine”!


We are truly delighted with your decision to contribute to the development of podology in Ukraine. This is a significant step that opens the door to professional growth and supports the recognition of our field at the national level.

The seventh issue is dedicated to - Insoles and Footwear

Stages of preparing materials for publication:

  • until June 1, 2026 (inclusive) — send the topic of the article to the e-mail: podiatry.ukraine@gmail.com

(indicate the author's last name and first name in the subject line)

  • until June 27, 2026 (inclusive) — send the text of the article and photographs.

Photos are sent in separate files with captions according to the numbering in the text.

  • from June 28, 2026 to July 12, 2026 — editorial proofreading and editing.

Making changes to the text is possible until July 19, 2026 (inclusive). After this date, changes will not be accepted.

  • from July 20, 2026 — layout of the journal issue.

Language of Publication

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the State language” (as of November 15, 2024):

  • The primary language of publication is Ukrainian.
  • The journal is published in two languages — Ukrainian and English. Professional translation is provided by the editorial board when needed.
  • Foreign authors may submit materials in English — the Ukrainian translation will be prepared by the editorial team.

Types of articles accepted for publication:

  • Scientific articles
  • Informational articles

Requirements for scientific articles:

Format:

  • File: Microsoft Word (*.docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, line spacing 1.5
  • Margins: left, top, bottom — 2 cm; right — 1 cm
  • Illustrations (photos, diagrams): submitted as separate files

Length:

  • Original and experimental research — up to 10–12 pages
  • Literature reviews — up to 12–15 pages
  • Brief reports — 3–5 pages or up to 17,000 characters (with spaces)

Structure:

  • Author(s): full name(s), academic degree, title, position, institution
  • Title: concise (up to 7 words), clearly reflecting the article’s essence
  • Abstract & Keywords: in Ukrainian (up to 1800 characters)
  • Introduction: relevance of the topic
  • Main Body: problem analysis, methods, clinical examples
  • Conclusions: key findings and future perspectives
  • References: Vancouver style, [in square brackets], 5–10 sources (10–20 for reviews)

Requirements for informational articles:

Format:

  • File: Microsoft Word (*.docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, line spacing 1.5
  • Margins: same as scientific articles
  • Illustrations: submitted as separate files

Length:

  • Up to 10–12 pages or 17,000 characters with spaces

Structure:

  • Author(s): full name(s), position, institution
  • Title: clear and concise, up to 7 words
  • Introduction: brief overview of the topic
  • Main Body: essence of the topic, experience, examples
  • Conclusions: key ideas and practical tips
  • References: optional (only required if non-original ideas are presented); if included, follow scientific article format

General requirements for authors:

Valid subscription to the journal for the current calendar year (online or print format)
